option 2, designs C (left) and D (right)

i can either make A and B, or C and D.
A and B are about 12x11; C is 14-1/2x11, D is about 6-1/2x11
now's your chance to vote. one will be given away later in the week, the other is a present for someone (they have veto power vote).
:DAB:
I like option 1B. The board looks very nice.

Tough call. I like 1 B.
2 D would look better rotated 90*. :)

Option 1.
The rest of the story:
Had planned to make one board, about 12x12. Woke up at 3am :slap: Lamont, you did enough glue ups for two.
Measure twice, cut once. Hope math isn't involved.
:DAB:
now that the formalities are complete...
My choice in order:
1A - I like the dark edge, it frames the piece well.
1B - Similar in pattern to 1A
2A - low on list because "busy"
2B - bottom of list, busy and small

C&D
Tough choice, I like 'em all, but I'd go with 1B :seasix:

1A.
It was a tough choice though. I know that whatever you decide is going to look great. :cert:
Actually, not my decision. Gave the recipient veto power. Whatever they choose is what will get built. The second of the pair will be given away. Stay tuned.
2 C&D mainly due to the sizes. All the patterns are attractive and won't look so busy when finished. I like a good board for carving meat or poultry and the smaller board would be perfect for bread. :seasix:

So basically we're like the current Congress.:leaving:

2D is my favorite as I use a small cutting board almost every day, it'd be great to have a nice one like that

You might be in luck. That's the one that will be given away.
They are both 1-7/8" thick.

Not a possible combination.
Well, since someone else is buying 1A or 2C and there's a (small) chance I could win the left over, I guess I like 2C and 2D.

C is a gift for someone. D is the leftover.

A&C don't know why, I just find them more visually appealing.

Choose?!

If you want to guarantee that you are first in line after my new shop is done, just send me $100,000. That should cover the cost of the shop and maybe a new tool or two.

no heavy lifting (more than gallon of milk) for a week. so the boards may not get done until a week from now.

This healing time (I'd recommend even after this week, no more than 10 pounds for the next 6 weeks, but whatever your doc says!) is the most important after a hernia op.
Ask me how I know!!
THIS is the time that will determine how good the repair "takes", because you do NOT want to go back under to repair the rip again!
(did you get full cut, or the orthoscopic?) Mesh?

Take it easy man. I pray you recover quickly.
