I suppose it doesn't matter if any of these accusations make it to court... his career is now worse off than Robin Williams'...

I kinda doubt there will be much more demand for him anymore as no one wants to be connected to anything like this.
Surprises me to hear all of this though.. I always thought of him as a wholesome family type of guy.
If it was just one, maybe two people..I would just think it was about chasing dollars, but seems like more and more are speaking out lately.

HEY HEY HEY !
Fat Albert can't save this mess.
Mr. Cosby's problem is he's not "down for the struggle". He doesn't tow the liberal line. He's outspoken about the lack of leadership in the black community.
That...is why the media gives this story traction. He must be destroyed. And by extension destroying his message against the grievance industry.

Cosby messed-up once; he settled out-of-court with one of these accusers (Andrea Constand in 2006). That always looks bad, and may forever cast a dark cloud over his head.

Sad. I always liked him. Too many accusers for it not be true in my opinion though. I can't understand people like him.

Guilty until proven innocent. :seasix:
While that may be theoretically true in a court of law, it does not and need not apply in the court of public opinion. I'd like it not to be true, what a horrible act to commit, but my gut feeling is at least some of the accusations are true.
He's done.....

5 minutes?
A lot of people can do it in only 30 seconds.. :D
He's always been a little too avuncular for my tastes. Never was much of a fan.

There was a lady crying on tv yesterday, saying he'd taken advantage of her, but SHE admittedly continued the relationship for several years, and the only reason she was speaking up now was because she wanted an apology.
Sorry I'm not buying it.

I have been sceptical about those accusers who waited years until someone else accused him, and then dogpiled on. I'm not saying he didn't do anything with these women. I just know enough about how show business gets, to consider the possibility that those women might just have been angling for his career help, and he went for what was offered.
I also believe that most of the so called "black leadership" could have worked their agenda to bring him down by promoting the accusers.
The story told by Mrs Ferrigno is very suspicious. She and a guy went with the Cosbys on a double date. After returning to Cosby's house, Mrs Cosby "retired" for the night, then the boyfriend "disappeared" ( likely upstairs to Camille's room), and Cos did whatever he did. Sounds like an arrainged tryst between two swinging couples.
Some of the other stories are pretty suspicious IMHO.
Just looking at both sides of the story, is all I'm sayin'.

He was ok on I-Spy and a decent stand up. But when he had the sitcom, he really started believing he was Dr. Huxtable and became the self-appointed poet laureate of America.
This is what happens when celebs start trying to be more than they are.
...and became the self-appointed poet laureate of America.
I disagree. And believe post #5 is the truth. :seasix:

Does that mean that he never gave any women a date rape drug? Or is it that if he were a member of the Sharpton/Jackson movement the media would cover it up?

The whole waiting 30 years to pile on and throw someone under the bus is bullshit. If something happened, it should have been brought up near the time it happened. Waiting well past the statute of limitations, and not even having enough evidence for a civil case, just to pop up and try to ruin a 77 year old man's career is attention whorish and quite frankly probably not the first whorish thing they've done.
For the record actual rape and sexual assault is a very serious crime, it's an equally serious allegation. However all too often embarrassment and regret lead to allegations of rape/assault and a person gets drug through the mud trying to clear them selves and is often unable ever completely wash that mud off.

that's the confusing part; once he decided to settle out of court with that one lady... apparently it didn't register to him that he should just sit back and retire, for good.
Did he really think he could continue on in a highly public-type career?

To me it implied Robins wasn't up to par either, I guess it's just an interpretation.
The key phrase was "is now", which places the temporal meaning of the sentence at "now."
