My wife is the Marketing Director for a co in the food and beverage industry. They had an event this week that was sponsored by a few big name liquor companies one of which was my good friend Mr Beam...
She brought me home a doggie bag.. :D

Knob Creek is some fine spirits. Devil's Cut was a meh for me. Tell us how Sir Basil did!

I like it. Have purchased it in the past a couple times. For $5 more i would opt for their Black Label though.

Sigh... I miss my wife's trips to Germany and the UK for just that reason.

The Devil's Cut surprised me, I enjoyed it very much.
I'm currently 3/4 into a bottle of Knob Creek single barrel 120 proof, and it's incredible.

Trade show samples rock! We come home from food shows with boxes full of really unique natural and specialty foods.
Your wife and I probably know some of the same people.
The Basil Hayden looks interesting. Nice packaging too. :shots:

I like it as well. Like i mentioned earlier try the Beam Black if you haven't.
That's my standard go to of the Beam line at the lower price point of $20-5. I don't even really buy jack anymore.

I'll give it a shot. :seasix:
I can't stand Jack, unless it's the only option and then it's a mixer with coke.
I need to find me a wimmins with that gig. I just picked this up the other day. Still deciding whether I like it enough to justify the price.

I've had the Basil Hayden. It was a gift from a client for services rendered. I took it because of the packaging (he brought in a box of various types of booze). I didn't care for it. I'm more of a Scotch drinker vs. whiskey. :shots:

OK, so I finally got around to buying a bottle of Jim Beam Black last week. I'm 3/4 through the bottle and all I can say is WOW. I can't believe the quality and flavor for ~$25. Thanks so much for the tip :seasix: , as this is definitely going to be my go to from now on. I really can't believe the quality/value.

Devils cut is my go to, flavor seems more pronounced than regular beam. I'll have to give the black a try
