We has it.
Just drove across town and back in my AWD vehicle. It was slicker than snot from an Ebola victim. Usually a little snow or ice is no big deal. Note more than an inch and it's super slick. I was sliding sideways just making a tiny little lane adjustments, happened several times (wife was askeered) and saw one guy go off the road on a 45 degree turn (he went straight unfortunately for him) and hit a power pole, sheering it off. Didn't do too much damage to his Jeep really. Yes, that was in a 4WD vehicle.
This winter, I have a feeling, is going to suck.

Snowing pretty good here too. But I don't have to go out in it till tomorrow. Not looking forward to this winter. Just a bad feeling all around about it.
Crazy. Glad I don't have to deal with that, although I have been out on "black ice" in North Texas a few times, and of course, this is Houston, so hydroplaning is fairly common during a big rain event. I'll just stay home and skip the drama if I have a choice.
I love winter in NW Florida.
A whole lot fewer tourists and cooler temps.

Nice here - 72 degrees F with clear and sunny skies.
They say we could get over 4" by tomorrow.
It hit 81 here. I had to put the AC on in the vette when I had the top down. It was awful. :D

Ice or :ohnoes:black ice is way more dangerous than snow for driving. Snow gives you a little control at least. AND, if the temp is around freezing, ice is more slippery than when it's colder!
I really try to stay off the roads in bad weather when the season starts.....I wait until the fools on the road get their winter driving habits back.

6:33PM here now, its dark now and getting cooler.
I'm sitting here in front of the fan (on low) in just my underwear and thought about putting shorts and a T-short on awhile ago..
but don't want to feel all sweaty. :D

It's 20 degrees out now, warming up from 15 earlier. I'm sitting in my office wondering why my computer is making more fan noise than usual. I look at my fan control settings, I have stuff turned down pretty low. Finally figure out that the CPU is so cool due to the ambient temp in my office being a bit chill, the CPU fan is running slower. When it's slower, it makes more noise apparently. Adjusting.
Edit: Actually it is 14 degrees out. My outdoor thermometers are getting hit by sun right now, so they are reading a broiling 20 degrees F.
Snowing here in Nashville now

Still snowing here, been coming down for a couple of days now. Just came in from shoveling the walkways, it is very wet and heavy.

Kansas: It's 21F here now, and tomorrow we are supposed to get above freezing. We had 3 inches of snow yesterday.......just enough to be a pain in the azz.

Just last Wednesday I took this at Cast Winery in the Dry Creek area near Sonoma. It was 65 and a bit overcast.

3" of the white stuff last night. It has gotten colder and windier all day. Currently 17 out. Supposed to hit single digits by morning and set a record here. The ankle and knee I broke several years ago are acting up already. I am sure my shoulder (which will need to be rebuilt in a couple of years) will soon follow. :ohnoes: :sadangel:

We had 1/4" of freezing rain. Just enough to make any drive out in the car look like the Ice Capades. Neighbor put his X3 into his Arbor Vita and Maple tree sliding sideways on the hill.
I've got Blizzaks on two of our cars, but decided to call in, stay home, and call it a day.

Oh, BTW. All 50 states (http://wattsupwiththat.com/2014/11/18/all-50-states-have-below-freezing-temperatures/) will have at least some areas below freezing tonight. Yes, even Hawaii. Some of the tall mountains there get below freezing a few days each year, although it's very rare to happen in November.
