TEXAS CITY, TX --
A woman whose four pit bulls killed a neighbor's dog last month is seeking damages of up to $1 million against the family that owned the dog.

Emerald White says in her lawsuit filed this week in district court in Galveston County that she was "seriously injured" when she entered her neighbor's yard to stop the attack and retrieve her dogs Oct. 27. The lawsuit says she suffered "multiple serious bite and scratch-type injuries."

The pit bulls had entered the yard through a hole in the fence separating the two properties.

The lawsuit further alleges that White's neighbors failed to confine their dog, a 10-year-old beagle named Bailey, in a secure enclosure.

The Galveston County Daily News says multiple calls to White's attorney were not returned.

It might have been better had the beagle's owner just shot the 4 pits AND their owner....and whatever shyster lawyer she got to file the suit. GMAFB. I hope something really bad happens to Emerald.

I'm a Texan who supports pitties, and this woman is in a twisted little fantasy. As pro-pittie as I am, those dogs had no right or business in the neighbors yard. They could have been shot, thanks to the Castle Doctrine.

A responsible owner who enrolls into an obedience class, and who ALSO socializes them, will have a great ambassador for the breed, for life.

I have seen them to be great pets, even for the little ones.

But I myself do not trust them completely around small children.

My oldest daughter in the USA had one, and still might (not sure) and it does well around her 4 little ones. :yesnod:

Trying to blame someone else for your demon dogs being in their yard is just STUPID!
