I have a 4-ton and two 2-ton central air conditioners to heat my house. There's another 2-ton unit that isn't working; it's supposed to heat and cool about 1,000 sf where the "outer" living room is located and that my computer is in. It's 25 degrees outside and maybe 65 in the house, 50 where I'm sitting at the computer.

My workshop is 400 sf (not including parking for cars which is in a separate room). It's heated by a $120 propane heater that's about 12" x 12" in size. The temp in the work shop is 75.

I'm thinking of putting a bed in the work shop. There's only a half-bath out there. but WTF. I'd be warm...especially with the 9 cats who'd likely sleep with me. And heat generated by any raccoon fights with the cats. And blood is warm for at least a while.

Dumb idea?

Just make sure there's no fumes from the propane...:ack: You can't smell them but they're there.

Spence: blow some of that big lawyer money you be havin' and put the heat on whatever temperature makes you happy.....in the house.

Personally, I've got my heat on 60, and I wear sweats around the house, no problems....comfortable.
