I was on a conference call with a woman from Wichita Kansas and she said they had about 8 inches on the ground and more coming down. Plus it was a minus 17 windchill this morning. That's too damn cold!
It's just starting to cool off down here, it was 42 when I left work 30 minutes ago by the time I got home my truck said it 36, with about 20-25 mph winds. That's too cold for me anytime, I got thin blood. :yesnod:
Aaah, Florida...ain't it grand. :D

Reminds me of an old Candid Camera bit where they put up a roadblock on a minor road between New York and New Jersey. When people stopped and asked why the road was closed, Allen Funt told them, "New Jersey is closed today." Most of them were like, "Um...okay...." and turned around.

Global Warming for the win. :hurray:
Misourians, your southern brethren feel your pain. I had to turn the heat on this evening, as a result of that blue norther that came through this morning.
We are all in this together!
:D

I hear he is currently working on a polar bear relocation project. He's moving them from the Arctic ice flows to I-70, somewhere around Missouri.

If he's in the path of this storm, they are shrunk up to where a kick can't get em!!!

No, every climate change alarmist knows that Weather <> Climate.

It sure was a nasty storm. We got around 12" of snow in Lees Summit and drifts 5'+ tall in my yard. Good thing the kids are out of school today as they should have enough time now to shovel the drive and walkways.

Can just imagine the traffic backups that made, let alone just how bad it had to be for them to take that action! :willy:
They reopened I-70 this morning.
MODOT actually did the right thing, the roads are now in pretty good condition. Well, at least the highways

Yeah, the second article said that.
How are things where you are today?

Spent most of the morning clearing snow from my driveway and couple elderly neighbors driveways. Wind chill is -7° but the sun is out so its tolerable.
Another first, the GM plant I work at was shut down due to the weather. Not really because of the local snow but we get a lot of J.I.T. parts from vendors along I-70.
18 wheelers are backed up over ½ a mile trying to get into the plant. They all arrived at once. :willy:
