Tim, I looked at your site, and see you use a web form on the "contact us" page (good)...But you also have a direct email link on the "about us" page (bad).

If that is the email address in question...Do you receive a lot of legit inquiries to it directly? (not via contact form).
If no, I'd suggest changing that "Please email me" text to be a link to your contact form rather than your actual address.
Also, think of anywhere else your email address may be posted on a publicly-accessible web page, and remove it if feasible.

This sort of activity is usually automated, and replying to these mails is also inadvisable, it's simply confirmation to the sender that the address is indeed valid and active...Which can only serve to increase spam.

If that is not an attractive solution, then if you can find any commonality into the spam you receive (sender domain, subject or body text...anything common), create filter(s) to automatically detect, sort, and junk it.

I found a way to stop SPAM. I purchased my own domain. Now when a business asks me for an email address, say Walmart for example, I give them: Walmart@my_domain_name.com (<- not my actual domain name) Any email sent to ****@my_domain_name.com is automatically forwarded to me because I am the domain owner/admin. So now if I start receiving spam ads for Viagra and they are addressed to Walmart@my_domain_name.com I know either Walmart sold my email address, or their servers were hacked and my address pilfered. I can then permanently block that address.

This process has worked great for the last 12 years I've owned my own domain name.

U.M.

P.S. Side benefit of owning my own domain is having 20GB's of online storage. Now I don't need to mess with any photo/video hosting websites.

This is now on my to do list, I even knew better!

I am working on a whole new site to replace that one right now, and I think the contact us is more secure, the old site they have a way of auto spamming even through contact us, most gets caught in the filters, but still have to check the subject lines before deleteing as sometimes good mail goes to the spam bin.

I plan to make a few new email accounts and have the old ones auto reply telling anyone that could be real to use the contact us as I have changed the email due to high volumes of spam.
