..and support the bad stereotype.
I was sitting in traffic on my way home and I see a C6 coming up beside me as I come to a stop. As he rolls up to my rear quarter panel, He revs it 3 or 4 times and when he gets beside me, I instinctively wave. It was all he could do to "attempt" a wave back. He gives this ****-eyed glare and raises his tatt'ed up for arm just enough off the shifter to half-azzed wave and then revs it again and moves past me. I so badly wanted my wave back. I then realized THAT is exactly the kind of self-absorbed show-off douche nozzle that I NEVER want to be.

Roughly 70% of the population as a whole are douche nozzles to some extent. Just expect it and move on, life is too short to worry about those assholes that gargle with Summer's Eve. :yesnod:

Oh yeah - I know that type. Goes hand in hand with that Napoleon complex.
They'll floor it, spilling any open container in the car just to prove something to the car next to them. Or.....to attempt to prove to you it's most excellent braking power, will slam on the brakes at 50mph in moving traffic, causing you to only wonder, was that seriously intentional, or just a severe lapse in their common sense (or lack thereof).
....or refer to driving their 7 y/o car to the grocery as 'seat time'.

yeah, we are all so very impressed. So much so, that we've dedicated this thread to all of you.

You can always tell the people who haven't owned their cars for very long. For some, the "newness" never wears off.

This is freaking hilarious on sooooo many levels, most of those being pretty close to the ground.

Just remember that stereotypes are generally true. Otherwise they wouldn't be stereotypes.

Since when is this the Corvette stereotype? I though it was the 60 year old with silver hair, automatic transmission, Lloyds mats, and a stuffed animal in the rear window driving 1mph below the speed limit in a caravan of C5s and C6s to a car show that is the Corvette stereotype.

The good news is that most of them hibernate during the winter, it's after the winter thaw that brings out most of the quidos and their douchemobiles.

In case there is still a breath of life left...I submit the following little story....
When I had my C5 I was invited to attend a charity car show.As it was a charity I donate to anyway I decided to attend. The show was less than 1/2 mile from my house.
I was told to meet at a mall about 10 miles from my house to "Caravan" to the site of the show(1/2 miles from my house)I said I live around the corner I'll meet you there.
Oh no,you have to meet at the mall or you can't be in the show. Are you fcuking kidding me ,I live around the corner I'm not driving to the mall and then drive back.
Well then, you can't be in the show.....Ok....I won't be there.
This really pissed me off, so I borrowed the most beautiful 32 3 window Ford you ever saw and went to the show site about 10 mins before the fcuking "Caravan" was supposed to arrive.
When the fcuking "Caravan" arrived there was a sizable crowd around me and the 32 and they hardly noticed the fcuking "Caravan" pull in........:)

Plus no doubt wearing the requisite Hawaiian shirts! But to be fair, they might not necessarily be on their way to a car show - they might be heading to Hooters so they can take pictures of the waitresses (who are young enough to be their granddaughters) sprawled on their hoods while they dilute themselves into thinking they "have a chance" with them.

There was a dude on CFPR&C who said he used to drive around in his vette yelling obscenties and terrorizing anybody who looked like Libs ... probably the same dude ...

No, I have seen hundreds of this type of extra fresh douche.
Over-gel-ed black spike haircut, rolled up T-shirt sleeves to show his gym rat arms and ink, perma-tan, techno crap music...the usual. He was probably on his way to a Jersy Shore cast party. Cruisin' rush hour traffic to be seen. I watched him go up to a light, U-turn and come back around again. Apparently no one paid enough attention the first pass. Had I seen him before I saw the car, I would have just laughed and drove off. I couldn't retract my wave. he needed a single finger salute instead.
I was sitting in traffic on my way home and I see a C6 ...
Just another used car.
As soon as the C7 comes along, it'll be the New C5.

It really didn't matter so much that it was a C6, it more mattered that it was a dishpit.
