Doing radio checks and people respond with "Lima Charlie"- just say it right "Loud and Clear" or even "Five by Five" (but you had better know what that means)

people at grocery stores, who just stop their damn cart in front of me, and walk away.

(For awhile)

the local term for (wait a minute) but really means this is going to take a long time probably when asking for the price of something, or waiting for change from 500 peso. (about $10)

Getting change is tough even from 100p sometimes if you stray far from the big city..

[1) People who can't follow simple directions

2) People who don't follow through on a commitment

3) People who decide to pay the .81 in change by fishing through their pockets/wallets/purses (that have about $5 in change stuffed into them) after they're done with their conversation with their friend in front of them in line. The kicker is when they act surprised that their lunch doesn't cost an even $6 and THEN decide to start fishing for change.

4) People who ride the EZPass lane who don't have EZPass and then decide to move to the cash lane at the choke point and tie up 4 lanes of traffic (anyone who has ever taken the upper deck of the GW Bridge into NYC will undoubtedly have experienced this one)

5) People who blame society for how they turned out.

6) EXTREME left wing Liberals (not your every day run of the mill liberal, but the extreme left wing liberal.

7) EXTREME right wing conservatives. (not your every day run of the mill conservative, but the extreme right wing liberal)

8) Anyone who doesn't admit that they bought a high end car "just because they wanted it"

9) Met/Jet/Devil/Islander fans. oh, and Bosux fans.

10) People who park next to my vette when I've purposely parked 100 yards from the closest entrance where no one has parked in about 10 years.

11) When people who work for me use some stupid excuse for why they're late when they don't have to be in he office until 10 as it is. And THEN leave before 6 as if they're entitled because it wasn't their fault that they were late.

12) People who use the phrase "i could care less". just for the record the phrase is "I COULDN'T care less", if you COULD care less, you obviously care.

13) Fans who stand up in front of you at sporting events looking for their wallets to pay the concession guy $8 for the cotton candy and funny hat for their 4 year old kid who hasn't watched 2 minutes of the game, and who fail to realize/consider the hundreds of people sitting down behind him who are now blocked from seeing the sporting event that they paid to come see because you can't get your wallet out of your pants while sitting.

14) Anyone who watches the "OC" for the plot

15) All HUMMER owners

16) People who die their hair purple and then pierce various parts of their anatomy and then get an attitude when you gawk at them for being different.

17) My parents who screen every phone call at their house by looking at the caller ID and yet, despite the fact that I've had the same phone numbers for over 3 years, they still let the answering machine pick up because they "didn't recognize the number"

18) People who stand in the doorway of the subway car and don't get out of the way when you're trying to get on or off the train. And then give you attitude when you push through them (even though you've said excuse me about 5 times)

19) People who blame/curse at the cop for giving them a speeding ticket despite the fact that they were in fact speeding and deserve said ticket.

20) People who ride the shoulder to get ahead of the traffic jam and then cut back into traffic up ahead, as if wherever they are going is more important than the hundreds of people that they just jumped ahead of.

You can multiply a number by another number...you can multiply 5 times 5, but you dont say...times 5 by 5....you filthy inbred sister f*cking goat raping language plundering f*ckhead.

Other than that, not much bothers me.

except Axed...Axed is something referring to chopping, or cutting, such as firewood or a great TV show. Axed is not asked, its just not, not even similar.

People who pump gas, and leave their vehicle at the pump while they go inside...

When there is only 1 or 2 diesel pumps at a station, and both are occupied by empty, gas burning vehicles...

People who use a CC or debit card to buy like 6 bucks worth of shit.

When someone asks you how to get to your house...and you give them specific step by step instructions to the door...then they say "well, I didnt write any of that down, Ill call again before I leave" or "hmm, just give me the address and ill use my GPS".

People who pitch a bitch when a business wont take a personal check.

I only ask because, I used to have a CD by "Pistol" called "Ballaholic"...and there was a song where the lyrics "N***a what" was repeated numerous times throughout...and my black friends determined that, it wasnt offensive as long as it ended in "a", and it was in the context of the song only, or immediately after the song had ended.

Using the "er" version was deemed offensive, unless reading it from a book, or using it in the context of "old times"...not to refer to someone currently as that word.

I think alot of people do not realize that the CC companies charge businesses for processing CC's...

I pay 2.75% of the total amount, and I pass that on to my customers...why should I pay for your convenience? Why should it cost me money, because you wont carry cash?

Did an 800 dollar overhaul last week, guy shows up wanting to pay by card...which is fine, I explained it would be 822.00 by card...he got mad. I told him...if I dont pass that on to you, my actual money made will be 778, not 800, because thats the amount that will hit my bank tomorrow...not 800.

So he writes a check..he is a business afterall, so his checks carry more weight than a personal check. Scanned it with my phone, and it cleared before he loaded up and left....no problems.

Its not quite so simple. Invoices are filled out, calculated and totals figured in long before the customer shows up to pay. So if they pull out a card...I have to change the total..or I have to figure up the total both ways..cash and credit...which Ive done, and it confuses people and I have to explain why.

What I tried for a while was flat rate 2 dollars for anything 100 dollars and below..and flat rate 5 dollars for anything under 500, more than 100. Anything over 500, actual amount will apply. And people would not understand the scale...so I stopped that.

People get mad...they think its a ripoff fee that im putting in my pocket...which is false, I never see that money, its all automated.

I dont want everyone to pay more, thats not the goal, and CC sales only account for maybe 10% of sales by volume, and maybe 20% by total amount.

I want to Zero in on just the CC folks...and its hard to do, until you know how they will be paying.

With many years of professional and recreational time on the water, the use of the term "over & out" on the radio, that's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. I hear it in the movies, TV, VHF radio. Over completes the statement
Out completes the transmission

For instance
>Breaker Breaker- Over
>>Come in, over
>Im at the end of Jacks road, require assistance- Over
>>Copy, 10-4, we are enroute to your 20. Over
>Copy,10-4, over, and out.

The bill? Something in the mid $90s thanks to "taxes and surcharges".

Goddammit, just tell me how much to pay up front. :slap: I don't mind paying it but what I do mind is the hiding of those costs.

I just had them cancel my satellite service. Bill would be anywhere between 89 bux and 189 bux with no changes. To say I'm sick of that crap is an understatement. I can read all the news right here on the interweb.

Over and out is incorrect radio vernacular. Its one or the other. Not both.

PIN number
VIN number
ATM machine
RHIB boat (and many others from the military)
...
Idiots who use "be" as the verb of every sentence. (I be goin to da mall)
Wasting my time due to the incompetence of someone else at work.

...and pretty much everything else listed in this thread.

For instance
>Breaker Breaker- Over
>>Come in, over
>Im at the end of Jacks road, require assistance- Over
>>Copy, 10-4, we are enroute to your 20. Over
>Copy,10-4, over, and out.

If someone tried to speak like that over the air from a Navy ship they would be kicked in the nuts before the second "breaker" came out of their mouth.

Doing radio checks and people respond with "Lima Charlie"- just say it right "Loud and Clear"

huh ????????

there's no need to use the phonetic alphabet for a signal report.

People who use the word BUMBER instead of bumper.
People taking selfies. Anywhere. Anytime.
"I know, right?"
"I have this, like, friend, who, like, thinks of things, like ..." - HATE

Pretty much everything in this thread plus litter, vandalism and graffiti.

Also, people who drift in my lane and then get mad when I beep the horn.

And last but not least, people who play with their phone when I am talking to them.
