current doggie (in avatar) doesn't get baths, pretty good at self cleaning. prior dog got a bath once a month when it was warm. outside with the hose. when i'd get all done, i'd unhook the leash, and she'd run around the perimeter of the house about 3 times, trying to get dry.

Mine gets a warm shower with me then goes through 6 towels drying him off...:lol:

I have a stand up shower that my Dad nicknamed "the goldfish bowl." When I broke my leg, I started bathing the dog in that....no muss, no fuss. He is a lab mix, so one towel is sufficient. I wouldn't want a long haired dog.
