While not THAT wild, I have some news about DOT control of your highways and why you MPG sux in traffic......

lived it, Grew older in Wash DC region, used to driving from one red light to another, wondering why they always stopped me and 50 other cars every two blocks....never did understand that crap.....but got used to it.....

Moved to DFW Tejas just as large a town as DC....in '70, and noted the difference in traffic control, being as a drove a TV service truck that could be traveling WITH traffic, or against it on any given road at any time of day....

UNLIKE DC DFW traffic flew....none of that red light to red light crap.....

just do the speed limit or maybe ten above.....fine....

So going back to DC after my g/f relationship failed, and the job fell through....I started dating my first ex wife on Connecticut Ave NW.....and noted the traffic patterns......heading north outta town at say 3-5AM the silly lights were timed for a synch speed of......60 mph.....true to this day I bet, go any slower and they be turning red on every block in front of you.....

the .GOV does their best to frustrate traffic flow and increase costs of transportation......

AND here in Florida I seen the very most best stoooooopidist shit in highway building/repair/construction/designs even boiling down to simple PARKING lots......the whole damn world is taken over by idiots....

CASE CLOSED!!!!
