As far as a fishing trip, Caney Lake is not far from there, home to a bunch of state records, I have fished it about 5 times, started to do much better the last couple of times I went.
I blew my 150 3 weeks ago and am waiting for a 2.5l to be rebuilt and installed on the boat. That should be done next monday.

October would be a good time to catch bass in the shallows, back in the creeks, should be chasing baitfish and fattening up for winter. Just drop me a line.

cool...plan on it. i'll probably actually end up getting there early on the 9th. google saying about 14 hours, so thats about 16 in the rv, and i dont like putting in more than 5 or 6 in a day, so i'll leave the afternoon sometime of the 7th, probably get in to the park early afternoon of the 9th if you wanna fish that day too...:cheers:

I am at work right now Tim. I get off at 6 am my time. Plan on picking up my boat from the mechanic, and shoot up there. I am thinking Ill be there around 2 ish. Fish the evening and in the A.M. Ill probably fish till dark and head down to my family camp after that.

I had a 1993 2.5 Mercury laying around. Had it rebuilt.
Old motor, someone swapped a 89 model 135 power head under the 98 150 hood. So best it did was 54 mph.... New motor, 74.....
