Started training back in June, 4 months later I'm 12 hours away from checking in. I'm excited, nervous, scared, and ready to kick ass all at the same time. Wish me luck. I'll update tomorrow with my final time and place!

I wanted to be around 1:30..... The ocean swim was extremely difficult, I had to make up serious time on the bike and run, I was expecting to do the swim in about 10-12, ended up taking me close to 25 mins

The swim would be my hardest part as well. Looks like you did good on the run and bike then based in your times.

I made up a lot of time on the bike and run, so much that my friend in the heat before mine, I caught up to and passed

Time for a marathon Marcus. I've done 3. The emotions from completing one are pretty extreme. :yesnod:

I think I'll be stepping up the tri, I wanna do another sprint, and then jump up to the Olympic tri, which is a mile swim, 25 mile bike, and a 10 mile run! And in a few years attempt an iron man! That's 2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 run.

I'm now addicted to this sport and can't get enough, was awesome to cross that line, glad I pushed my limits!

Congrats on your finish!!! Time sounds pretty good, especially with an open water ocean swim. That certainly adds to the challenge. A 400m swim normally isn't a big deal, but if the seas have some chop or you have some wind or current to contend with, it gets tough REAL quick!!!!

Did my first Olympic back in August. The swim went better than I had hoped, but the current pulled me out a bit towards the middle of the river (I turned kinda wide) and I had to fight it a bit getting back in. Added a few minutes there for that.

Did the bike at a 20mph pace, but the run KILLED me. HOT, HUMID, WINDY. Pathetic run but I finished it. I went in with no preconceived time, but I wanted to get under three hours. I was at 3:03:30...

The sprints are GREAT ways to start so congrats on getting hooked!

I have more Olympics planned for next year and perhaps a 70.3 (half Ironman) later in the season...

I need to get a few half marathons in (we have two up here in Huntsville in the next few months).

I really wanted to be under 1:30, I could of broken the 1:30, but the swim killed me, and half way through the run, my legs felt like cement so I slowed up.

I'm going to find another sprint for the end of the year or beginning of 2015, then I want to hit an Olympic by summer. I can't get enough of this sport
