View Full Version : A one man war against Drosophila
When my parents came to visit, they bought perishables (which I never do) and I have been fighting fcuking fruit flies ever since. Today, I finally decided to go nuclear.

Cheaper solution.
A bowl of vinegar with a few drops of Dawn liquid soap.

Not near as entertaining as watching insects disappear in a puff of smoke :hurray:

Maybe that is cheaper but it is less impressive. Also, I already had the zapper.

you need a new kitchen sponge
I just went into the kitchen for the first time since it got dark. I'm going to have to rename the kitchen "skin cancer room." It is like a tanning bed in there.
There are no lights on except the bug light...

He's planning on electrocuting the fruit flies. Oh, wait....um, what? Huh? Boy did I pick the wrong night to be sober.

In our neck of the woods, a bug zapper and a six pack of beer is entertainment.

At fish camp in Ontario Canada, we were at a fish fry and brought along our electric flyswatters ( they zap the bugs ). Everybody thought they were cool and they took care of the bugs while Mary and I feasted :hurray:

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the easiest trap you can make. Just use a dixie cup or make one like this, some sweet juice or fruit in to bottom, and the dumb FFs crawl in and can't get out. Too stupid I guess. Cut a tiny hole in the cut or funnel. I used these in the summer at the restaurant and they WORK! :yesnod:

Also make sure to put a dribble of bleach into the sink drains at night. :seasix:
