So, late last year I heard of a cool money saving scheme, and actually started it (and more amazingly, have kept up with it!) where each week you put into a jar or some container, 1 additional dollar than the last week.

For instance, Sunday, Jan 5th, I put a dollar in the jar. Then the next Sunday, Jan 12th, I put in 2 dollars. Then 3, then 4, etc. By the end of the year, after putting in the 52 dollars for the last Sunday, I will have accumulated $1378!!

I plan to buy myself something cool, then do it again!

At any rate, started playing with the formulas, and the first one, I simply doubled each week, end result is $2755 at the end of the year!

Finally, just for kicks, I applied the Fibonacci sequence to it, and HOLY COW!!
By June, over $100k! By first of August, over $1 Million!! Hit $1 BILLION by my birthday in November, then at the end of the year: (drum roll...)
$32,951,280,099!!! Yes, over $32 BILLION dollars, in one year!

:faint:

Only trick, is that you actually have to HAVE the money available to add to the account, so it DOES take money to make money! :D

Just wanted to share. Anybody else have any other sequences to share?

Just print the money. Out of thin air.

You could simply write out a buncha IOU's.

Use toilet paper if you have to.

when i first got a mortgage (922.05/mo), i would send it in with the next 2 months worth of principal (started at about 120/mo). in so doing, i avoided paying the corresponding interest (started at about 800/mo). over several years, you will shave lots of time off your note and save tens of thousands of $$$$$.
