I have a summit credit i need to use up.. Figured an SA2010 lid would be a good investment that i can utilize from car to car as quickly as i tend to switch.

Any experience/opinions on these two?

I'll go to Summit as it's local and snag it.

Opinions of other people are worthless because everyone's head is shaped differently. Try them on before you buy. Trust me on this one.

First one; your screen name... duh :D

I'm with Drew, as long as she fits your coconut, you'll be good to go.

I would never buy a black helmet, the sun will bake your brain.

:iagree: Buy what feels the best. And don't scrimp on the $$$. You have only one brain. :cert:

If your current lid fits and you need a Snell rated piece, wait a bit. The next test will happen in 2015 and getting the new rating will allow you to use the new lid for a long long time.

Better yet, find somebody who knows how to fit helmets. :yesnod: A loose helmet will not protect you if you have an "incident" compared to a properly fitted helmet.

With motorcycle helmets, I wore a XL in HJC brand. I purchased a Scorpion EXO 500 since it has a built in, flip down sunshade. I needed a XXXL to fit me correctly. :willy:

When we got Marcus' helmet, we drove down to Sebring to a helmet dealer that has a store at the track. Trying on is paramount. It needs proper fit, and they will vary some.

I was thinking that as well.

Any idea when they'll start coming out?

October 1st, 2015. That is the date that SA-2015 helmets will officially be allowed for sale. However, this does not mean that this is the date that these helmets will magically appear on our shelves. Depending on the manufacturer, and based on what we’ve seen in the past 25 years, we’ll see delivery of these helmets anywhere between October 1st and the following Spring (2016).
