View Full Version : When will the Ferguson, MO, facts come out?

It seems a little slow to me. Ferguson Police and City officials have let it escalate into nationwide protests. Almost invariably the initial "facts" about a police shooting are wrong, and it turns out that there is strong evidence to support what the police office did. I didn't think it usually took this long for the actual facts to be released.
To me, the longer they wait to tell the facts makes them irrellevant to most, or to a least a lot of people. Delay causes people to wonder if it took a long time to make up the facts.
What gives?

Well, it's a liberal tool to excite the race debate further. Nothing more. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. :D

If they released information in support of the police officers wouldn't that just agitate the racists even more and make things worse?
The Grand jury started hearing details today. I hope they move quikly.

I don't think so. Irrefutable facts make a compelling argument to most people, and at the very least they cast some doubt on the protesters. I think it makes for a defensible position.

The type of people who protest all day for a week aren't the type that is swayed by facts.
Harper Lee's wisdom is wasted on these fools.

I certainly agree with that, but we cooler heads would like the actual facts. Right now it just looks like the Ferguson PD was racist and wrong. I know the facts won't change anyone's position, but they are neccesary for some of us to form an opinion.

probably early next week; that's when NBC news will be finished with the editing of the 911 calls.

I hope the Grand Jury has a pretty even racial mix so their decisions aren't viewed as biased - towards either side.

Looked like suicide to me. Normal people don't walk quickly towards a person aiming a gun at you.
Too bad for the cops they didn't have Tasers drawn, but it did look to me like the guy wanted something bad to happen - he got his wish.

Honestly, I doubt they ever will. It's just too convoluted at this point. And even if they do, you won't be able to hear it over the mob's outcries.

As long as it provides an adequate smokescreen for the White House activities AND provides the POTUS' friend Sharpton with something to do, it will be the highlight of the news.

When he chose to take the box of cigars, he accepted that the result would range between absolutely nothing happening, and death. ANYTIME any of us chooses to break the law or the rules, we have already accepted the consequences no matter what they are. PERIOD.
The parents crying that the officer "had a choice" need to wake up and realize their son had a choice too. He chose poorly.

I see it as two separate events...he cleared the theft of the cigars with his life. However any time you CAVE A COPS FACE IN, you best be expecting death.

I have not researched but are there any pics of injury to the officer? It would be helpful.

Looks like yesterday several news sources claim his orbital wasn't actually broken. So I'm assuming the Xray that I have seen in the news must not be of the officer, otherwise this wouldn't be in contention.
Yes I know rough source, however it covers both claims.
