I understand that Pink Floyd is releasing a new album in October called "The Endless River". It's supposedly an album "based" on their 1994 recording session of their last album released that year. I don't understand. Is it new songs or just 1994 songs that didn't make it onto an album?

They are releasing tracks that were not chosen for the Division Bell album.
"Endless River" is a tribute to Rick Wright's writing.
I'm looking forward to hearing it. :cert:

Division Bell was great. Been a Pink Floyd fan since I first heard them in the 70's.

My lazy boy recliner rocks.
The Division Bell was (1) Their best album, and (2) post-Waters so I'm down for this. :hurray:

Sorry grandpa, 80s & 90s Acid Rock >>>>>>>>>> 60s and 70s grooooooovy rock.
There are some individual tracks from the Waters era that are killer obviously like my favorite track of all time, Comfortably Numb. But from the first song on an album to the last, The Division Bell and Momentary Lapse of Reason are their superior albums.

Syd would disagree.

Syd would disagree.
I wonder if they buried him upside down, since he often had his back to the audience?

Exactly what I was asking. Pink Floyd is still great to listen to, but that's likely because of my age. Although that were likely ahead of their time in the 1970's, it still isn't modern.

Except the Division Bell is incredible from beginning to end so no shame in a track not making the cut.
