...is back, and it brought restless leg syndrome with it.

I've taken a small chemical cocktail and I'm still wide awake.

I've had a very stressful month, but this didn't start back up until last night.

I've tried countless remedies but when I get as wired as I am right now, nothing helps.

I guess I'm just bored and wanted to start a new thread for something to do.

Sorry for the Lamo thread, it's the only thing I can think of to do. :shots:

I was getting stuffy so I turned on the ceiling fan. Then the cricket stopped chirping. That was strange but I'm happy for the silence.

I saw a really neat puzzle at the store earlier today. I should have bought it. However, my mother has my card table so I have nothing to put it together on. She's coming over today, I wonder if it will fit in her car. I bet if I went back to the store the puzzle would still be there. :kimblair:

Of course :)

How is your son liking school?

He pulled a 4.0 for the first two semesters. Then we found out that, because his "father" was medically discharged from the Navy, Gage can go to any uc college that he can get into on a free ride. The only stipulation was that he had to have been a resident of CA forms year

Last week, while all I could do was sob, he flew out to Orange County. He plans on attending UC Irvine but he's going to have to meet the residency stipulation, he's going to go to a Community college.

We just found out today that he got the job he really wanted. He is also going to spend six months with one aunt and uncle, then the remaining six months with another aunt and uncle - all rent free!:hurray: After that he plans on moving into student housing at UTI.

Aren't you glad you assked? :D

I was just off somewhere else...

It is almost 6PM here now so my workday is over.. here lately I stay up pretty late again and crash about the time the sun is coming up, then sleep till the afternoon.

For some reason I like nights better..

It's cooler for one, and the kids are asleep so can get more work done without distractions.

True story..

A friend of mine was about ready to leave his wife over all the mood swings, finally a doctor figured out the problem and put her on the right medications.

About a month later for a checkup the Doctor asked her how the meds were working..

My buddy who happened to be there that day told the doctor.

"shouldn't you be asking me how they are working?"

I know nothing about insomnia. I'm one of those people who is asleep by the time my head hits the pillow. I go to bed somewhat early (by 10:00 p.m.) and wake up at 6:00 and nap until 7. What I'm leading to is this: What do you think causes your insomnia, BB? Or are there no diagnosable reasons for insomnia?

Barn Babe
08-19-2014, 4:47pm
My doctor never diagnosed anything but I do tend to be anemic which can cause the restless leg/feet thing. That alone can drive me insane for an hour or more. I've also got issues with anxiety. Combine both of those factors and it makes for a real party. :willy:

There are plenty of good drugs out there for anxiety. Nothing works? Also plenty of things that can be done for anemia. :confused5:

No but anemia runs on my mom's side of the family and I've been this way most of my adult life. I also have low blood pressure. At the doctor's office I was 96/60.

It can go on a pretty long time. There's no set limit on that. Most people don't know it, but anaesthesia can be a major shock to your system. It can make you "talk crazy" for several nights, cause you to be severly anxious, and shut down you body's resonse to drugs such as pain killers. It can actually accentuate your pain.

Punchy is near exhaustion, but not quite there. Please don't drink coffe or use any other stimulant. It will triple-backfire on you because of the anaesthesia. Your body has an alien substance in you (anaesthesia, which is alien to you body). No cokes, diet cokes or even orange soda. You cannot think or will yourself our of this; it's purely chemical. Relief will eventual;ly come, though. Be strong amd optimitic. :cert:

Doctors and hospitals are notorious about not telling you the side effects beforehand. Take heart bypass, for example: They don't tell you you'll be put in a vat of ice after you're anesthacized. But you are, and your body temperature is reduced to 80 degrees to reduce your heart rate. You wake up freezing and in agony.

Then they want you to walk the hospital halls the next day for exercise. Hell...you can't even stand up!
