Does using a BMX bike or skateboard for transportation mean you're a useless low-life?
For a real-world example, picture a guy who looks to be early thirties. He has a t-shirt tucked into cutoff jeans, Vans, and an I'm-either-homeless-or-I-was-lost-at-sea tan. He is smoking a cigarette and using both lanes of a downhill stretch of road by slowly weaving back and forth.

i would assume the guy likes to go outside and hang out at the beach a lot.
sounds like a guy without a care in the world...good life at 30something...
although that'll catch up to him later.
to see his future, go to the bar at TGI Fridays this evening...his 50 y/o version will be there...single...broke...alone...trying to pick up 30 y/o hotties w/o luck...ends up going home with a 50 y/o bar tramp with "issues"...wakes up in the am and leaves in his 20 y/o Hyundai...which sputters and barely makes it home to his one room apt...where he will sleep off his "fun"...while peoples court plays in the background on his 27" antiquated Zenith TV.................
but hey, he's happy TODAY!

Funny you mention this. This AM I am in a town 30 miles away looking for a car in moms name for scumbum daughter. Not at either address. I am at daughters lowlife apt building, and some early 30's scrufty looking dude rides by on his 20"bike IN THE SNOW with this rotty running next to him.
ME> Yo dude, you live here?
Him> yea, man( then he yells at dog and pops a wheelie)
me> You have a cell phone?
him > no.
me>:skep:( I thought Obama gave all lowlifes a free cell?
me> Do you have access to one?
him> yea.
me> I am looking for this car with this plate at this address or at this other add 2 streets away. I can tighten you up with 25 bones if you see it and call me.
him> all excited looks at my card and pulls away doing another wheelie in the snow.
Problem is, these geniuses either lose my card within 5 minutes or have the attention span shorter than a C5 owners dick.:ack:
Nothing to lose though.

We see a lot of 30 something d bags riding by on tiny BMX bikes here every day, cigarettes hanging out of their mouths, flat bill hats on, throwing their fu*king trash on our lot.

you live in California, do you really need to ask? :D

Has to be a California thing. Up here, if you're over 20, you're riding a stoopidly expensive mountain bike kitted out with gear that is almost as stoopidly expensive.

Possibly true. I don't think you're as likely to see anyone in shorts and no shirt skateboarding on public roads in the middle of winter. :D

As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate bicyclists.
