Yes, I was an engineer for eight years. During the last year I was a first-level manager.

Getting a stash I'll call your eff ewe fund is key.

You don't want to pay me what I want? FU. I'm gone.

I can get by without you. Can you say likewise?

Yeah, Im living this. I was given a company vehicle and I am required to put 600 miles a month on. But I cant bring it home. I have conference calls every afternoon and about half the mornings. Oh, and I have regular work to do too. But somehow I am supposed to figure out how to drive 600 miles per month also or I risk losing my vehicle.

What 'manager' came up with THAT requirement???.......:issues:

So far it doesnt, I get told monthly that I dont have enough miles on my truck. Every other engineer I have talked to in my department says the same thing. So apparently no one will have a vehicle soon?

One that doesnt have a clue as to what we are being asked to do. This directive had to have come from the bean counters so they can justify the lease. Problem is our 'management' team wont stand on their hind legs and tell them it not practical and vehicles are just going to have to be an expense that they live with. Kind of like paying rent for a 40k sqft office building in downtown Columbia that is about 10% utilized, but they see no issue with that.
