Nice. Looks like a more aggressive F-Type.
I could do without the easy button on the steering wheel, though. :)

Geez, that thing is fugly! Couldn't they add anymore of those extreme curves?
Looks like it was designed by a committee of 13 year olds.

Here's the thing though:
If they turn this into a full-blown supercar (something like Nissan did with the GT-R) and it costs $100k, then *to me* it's not a successor to anything.
The key to it being the Supra successor is the price. It needs to be priced in line with the Vette. (and preferably have an purposely-overbuilt turbo I-6 in it). ;)

Meh...depends on what you like I guess.
As someone who thinks Bugatti and Lotus have absolutely nailed it on design, I like it.
Curves = good.

I likely will not!:sadangel: That thing looks like a straight up race car. Once again, champagne appetite on a beer income!

From what I can see, I like it from the side and the back. The front... not so much.
Definitely going to have to be 1 of those cars you need to see in person to really judge.

Seems odd the LEXUS LFA looked a lot like a Supra, while this TOYOTA "Supra replacement" looks nothing like a Supra.
LFA is/was/ NOT cheap, either. Hmmmm...

Triple exhaust. HMMM... I wonder where that idea came from. [Cough]458[cough]
Reminds me of the XLR in that shot.

Well then, you must have seen the others, as well. They came from:
Current Inventory of Classic / Collector Cars at RK Motors Charlotte (http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sales/inventory/active#!/2012-Lexus-LFA/134691/263305)
LOTS of LFA pics there...
:cert:
If they want to compete with Corvette, aside from keeping the price low unlike Lexus or Nissan, it also better not be a heavy brick like the original Supras were. Too many are dyno queens that run shit times for their power due to weight and lack of area under the curve. Not to mention they're about as good in the curves as a Mustang i.e. not much.
I doubt it. It will probably be heavy. It could be a Mustang/Camaro killer though in terms of performance and sales. People love Supras, and people are convinced that Toyota = reliability.

I like it. But until they put a V8 in it. Which you all know is not going to happen. I will not be looking for one of them in my stable.

You know it's going to be a hybrid, right?

No doubt. Low end speed is a given. Get into triple digits quickly? Not so much.

Yeah...kinda like the La Ferrari. Or even that damn 918. Stupid hybrids.

I doubt if this one is going to replace the supra if its going to be stupid powerful like those. I really hope it is. But I just don't see it happening at a price point that would compete with the current model.
You are comparing apple and oranges there buddy. :cert:

I suspect this will be a $60K car. That being said, the point of aforementioned, is the fact that the hybrid part has nothing to do with efficiency, but rather filling in the void at low RPM to ensure maximum torque throughout the entire range.

I can see it happening only if they cut the weight down some. They need to go on a diet. The pics look like that could happen. But that is just a concept.

My guess is about 3,600-3,800 pounds due to the batteries and the electric motors, which is too much.
If they could make this 3,200 pounds, I think it would be awesome, but considering it will likely have steel panels, unlike the Vette, achieving that weight target is unlikely.
