A type of chopping knives. They're sitting in their base.

Used to cut and chop herbs.
Or very small pizzas.
my wife prefers to use this, easier to control, and rock back and forth as you feed things like carrots or celery thru it.
Inuit have used them for many moons to cut up whatever they catch - fish, seal, whale...

Can they be used in the same fashion you would use brass knuckles?

they are very sharp.
as i was assembling them, i had finger prints all over the blades, so i took an old t-shirt and went to wipe off my smudges....oops, cut right thru about 5 layers of cloth, but spared me bleeding...lesson learned.

Interesting.
I was just thinking that cutters would find them especially useful, because they could make neat, accurate cuts in parts of the flesh they intended to, without the risk or embarrassment of unwanted nicks in their fingers.
i didn't want to pay $100 for one, so i made my own... total cost: under $20 each.
