Hey ya'll a friend of mine has a daughter that appeared on American Idol last night. She got to sing with Steven Tyler on "Don't Want to Miss a Thing." Her name is Lauren Suddeth. She's only 15 years old, but has a powerful voice. Watch & vote for her if you get the chance. Can't get the network link to work. Thanks.

A few years ago a gal I knew that worked as a waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings here in Joplin made it to the top 13, getting voted off just before they did the top 12 which meant she wasn't eligible to go on tour with the rest of the losers. She was pretty good but made a TERRIBLE song choice on her last night. Can't remember her name now but the town was behind her and it did make it more fun watching while she was still in the mix. It was the year that guy with the gray hair won. You can tell I'm really up on all this pop culture crap. :D

Is she the blonde that was on CNN Headline News this morning while I was getting ready for work ? I know...you probably don't know what I saw :rofl: but she said something about it being her parents song or a song at their wedding or something ?
If so...she sounded good and is cute.
I did not watch AI so I wouldn't know otherwise but when I heard this girl and I admit...I stopped and took a look...pretty cool. :thumbs:

Lauren is such a beautiful young lady. She was simply stunning last night. She has a wonderful career ahead of her.
Once Jacob and Haley are sent home, it doesn't really matter who wins the damned thing. Any of the remaining three can win and whoever it is will be the right one.

Another strong night by Lauren. But I am a huge Haley fan. Love her style. However, I think when it comes to the final 4 its who you like, and I think James, Lauren and Scotty have stronger followings and I think Haley will go home.

I found it troubling that the judges are trying to sway the vote. They reamed Haley a new ass for a song that she did good on and then turned around and praised Scotty for his second song which was so bad he wouldn't have made it onto the show if he had done it early on in the competition. The bias is blatant.

Agree. I thought Scotty and James were average at best, Lauren very good but Haley was terrific.:dance:

Hailey did just "OK' on her first song and awesome on her second song. Lauren had too good songs. The two guys had one good song and one weak song.
My wife likes Hailey and James, I really don't care much but it would be nice if Lauren makes it all the way. Hailey does have great legs to go with her voice. :D

But Haleys one song the last two weeks has been killer. She has such strong stage appearance. She captures the audience with her looks and voice.

I think she got robbed, the judges seemed to pick her over Scotty. But it's a popularity contest, not a talent contest. I've heard of girls that voted for him over 100 times. :toetap:
Bottom line: I haven't purchased any of his music, but I've already bought 14 of her songs from itunes. Girl can sing. :yesnod:
