I don't know how many shirts, but I'll bet I hold the record for longest use of a a T-shirt. 30+ years ago I wanted a black T-shirt. short-sleeve with a pocket. I was so proud of that shirt! I wore it every chance I got.
After about 8-10 years it had a hole in it. so I used it as a work shirt for another 8-10 years. It began to disintegrate, so it became a shop rag/car washing rag. Finally, when I remodeled my house I used it to plug the toilet hole while I replaced the toilet. At least 25 years of use.
Huh?

I usually dedicate a t-shirt and jeans to car restoration work. Usually per car. I still have the set from the recent C10. I'll post a pic later. I have one CW reenacting t-shirt that is thread bare. It's about 20 yrs. old. A piece of paper is thicker than it now.

My clothes tend to go from good wear that I would wear out to public events, to everyday wear, to cottage wear, to garage wear (with tears, grease, etc) to the rag bin. Waste not want not!

Much of my wardrobe has been worn so long that many would think they're hanging with a homeless person.
In my defense, ripped worn jeans were cool in the '80s. Still living the dream...........

He has what I call fragmented thought personality. I have a friend like him you will be talking about something and in the next sentence he's talking about something else and I constantly tell him you changed pages again on me without telling me. They think about other things while your talking to them but in their mind you are talking about what they are thinking silently. Lucky for me I'm getting good at deciphering what the Fu@k they are talking about...:D:datawiz:
