Houston has a horse track. Never been. Always thought about going, though.

I love horses, have owned many myself, mostly Thoroughbreds for hunting and jumping. But I strenuously object to putting young horses (two-year-olds) on the track because it's just a death waiting to happen. Their forelegs just haven't developed enough to take the punishment of racing.

I grew up in Baltimore. Spent many many days at Pimlico. Had 2 uncles who worked there. One drove a truck. Another tended bar.
They had me pegged for a jockey. But I got too big. :Jeff '79:
