Bought a 2013 MacBook Pro (15", 16G ram, SSD, Retina display) on CL today. The guy deleted all of his files but didn't deauthorize his Apple and ITunes accounts, left his passwords in Keychain Manager for all kinds of shit including banking...

He is lucky I'm an honest guy. I've been deleting all of it.

Folks, when you sell a computer, do this:

1. Reformat your drive choosing the option to write zeros to the drive.
2. Add a temp admin password to give to the buyer.
3. Tell the buyer to immediately go buy the newest operating system and install it (he needs to buy it so it is attached to your Apple Account - not yours.)

Sheesh.

I'd never sell an old computer.

I destroy them.

Remove hard drive. Shoot three holes thru it. Bye bye data.

Exactly

I destroyed a laptop the other day. It was Vista. No loss. :Jeff '79:

If you think that's true, you're insane. Not to mention that many computers now use SSDs rather than HDDs
