I just realized that in some ways Calvin and Hobbes is the Peter Pan story for a new era: Limitless imagination, loyalty, and fearlessness in pursuit of creative adventure. Cleverly turning norms on their head and innocently challenging conventional wisdom, but never hurtfully, and never crossing the line into delinquency.

That's a great ending story to a GREAT cartoon legend. I have the hard covered big books of his stuff. Classics. :D
