Man attacked with glass drinking boot, police say

MADISON, Wis. - A man was attacked with a glass drinking boot at a Madison bar early Sunday morning, according to a release from Madison police.
Police said the 28-year-old was at a table drinking with friends at the Essen Haus on East Wilson Street when Gerald A. Kruger, 44, became upset with something that was said.
The victim was hit in the face with the glass boot and taken to the hospital to get stitches, officers said.
Krueger was arrested on suspicion of substantial battery.
