I'm pretty sure my last time was Jan '85 when I was in the California desert on a military exercise.

A friend and I went into the main part of the base on some local liberty and found the remains of a wedding reception at the officers' club. We went college on that shit and I ended up howling at the moon with the coyotes.

I puke quite easily. If straight tequila is involved, it will be a matter of minutes. Mixed drinks are ok.

Last time for me was 2 or 3 months ago during a poker party. Lots of PBR = bad news the next morning.

Driinking backwards? A couple of years ago after my grandmothers wake. She was a Jack Daniels drinker and we were all taking shots in her memory.

1998 or so. My boss and I had had a boilermaker downing contest. We both ended up with alcohol poisoning. Since then outside of a single shot of something other than whiskey I'll limit myself to 4 or 5 beers tops. If I'm within ten feet of an open bottle of whiskey just the smell makes me want to puke now.

I almost crossed the bridge a couple of years ago at an all-inclusive in Cancun. Sitting at a table with three other couples we had just met. Someone gets the bright idea to do tequila shots. It got crazy, but I maintained.

I fondly recall my college days when I didn't understand the problem with hangovers. I never got them. Never.

Now? Holy shit.

About 5 years ago or so at a friend's birthday party. Too much mixing of different alcohols. Had to go outside and I harked in a bush. Later on I told my friend the story and she said she wondered why her dog was spending so much time around that bush :lolsmile:

The last time I recall throwing up from too much alcohol? Probably as a freshman or sophomore in high school.

Of course, I'm notoriously cheap anyway, so why would I want to pay money to make myself sick?

Light social drinker=no high tolerance for booze that makes it more expensive to "get your drink on".

I think that "mixing types of alcohol" thing is an old wives tail. If one was to drink moderately, and eat a little something while drinking, I doubt that "crossing the streams" would cause one to throw up.

It's quantity, not type that causes problems.
