In the Southern traditon, of course. First, at 7:00 a.m. there was the very cold Coke for instant caffeine:

About an hour later there was the formal breakfast--cranberry juice and peanut butter nabs:

Please niote that the nabs ("crackers" for you non-Southerners) have "real" peanut butter in them...as opposed to...?
Fast forward until noon: A check of the frodge revealed that I was out of lunch meat (Called "sandwich meat" up Nawth). Didn't want any extra calories--don't laugh, please), so I fixed (cooked) an omelet: 2 eggs (didn't use 3 because the food experts can't decide if eggs kill you or are good for you), thin shavings of onion, chopped red bell peppers, bacon, sliced black olives, and sharp cheddar cheese. Two pieces of buttered toast with raspberry jam. Just water to drink.
About an hour later a cold Coke and Goji berries dipped in dark chocolate. I had about 10 Goji berries because they're good anti-oxidants.
About 5:00 p.m. I'm getting hungry, so I have a few gin and tonics (gins and tonic?) to quell (sp?) my hunger. I decide to eat light: A spinach salad with onions. tomatoes from the garden, black olives, celery leaves...and some other things with Comeback dressing on it. Mississippi Comeback dressing is an all purpose sauce that is a cross somewhere between a rémoulade sauce and Thousand Island salad dressing, great for a sandwich spread or dipping sauce. It's spicy, too. My salad was served with a large slice of home-made bread with butter on it.
I'm not going to drink another Coke--I'm not a glutton--but I may have a jar of Maraschino cherries later. Or Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia.
