Not really in Denver, but, I visited Buffalo Bill's grave and museum in nearby Golden, CO. Royal Gorge, below Colorado Springs. Over the mtns. to Cripple Creek. Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs. I love it there. Several old mines you can tour. I think you can also tour Coors brewery in Golden.

I was out there for 2.5 weeks in May..got there the 8th, got 7" of snow on the 11th.. has 2 tornado warnings and lots of hail the last week.. didn't have much free time, but did head out to the mountains a few afternoons.. purty.

I drove through there a few years ago. The scenery was incredible.

Traffic sucks.. I was working and staying out in Stapleton.. getting to downtown bars/restaurants almost anytime of day was horrible.
