Orders came from on high to find a way to stream the world cup on our displays throughout our facility.

Once completed I was stopped no less than 7 times by employees mad at ME because they requested baseball, hockey, etc in the past and were told no.

I , as nicely as I could muster, told them the request came from on high and if they have a problem with it then they need to talk to their managers and run it up the flag pole.

They are right of course as it is NOT fair but there is nothing I can do about it.

Rant over.

LOL@ soccer.
Tell your co workers sports aren't allowed, only games. Anything that requires gear=sport. Anything that can be played in shorts= game. That should make management happy. :)

I think any country that loses to the U.S. should have to call it soccer.

You should just stream Baseball, Hockey and Football and then when management yells at you tell them" We did it for Soccer". And call them Racist and Strom away.

Thank goodness your company doesn't expect its employees to actually perform work while at work.

The ironic thing is that soccer is a British word and it used to reference soccer up until the 1940s when fur all became the popular term.
