what does the dummy light inside mean it shows that my oil level is in the middle but when i c heck the dipstick it shows full
00 corvette if that will help

I hope you're not talking about the oil life being 50% . . .

If not, then are you parked on an incline?
Could be time to replace the oil level sensor too.

There is no oil level indicator on the instruments, so what you're seeing as "in the middle" is telling you something else.

If you are seeing the oil can symbol in the HUD, it means the right bargraph is displaying oil pressure. That right bargraph can be set to display different things by pressing the page button on the left side of the instrument cluster, either fuel level, coolant temp, oil pressure.

yes i am seeing the oil can and it has i think 5 bars all together, and its on the 3rd bar is that ok, i am not used to seeing it, and yes i kn ow about the other ones on the HUD

so is that good? i am babying the car maybe that is why, that is what the echanic said dont know if its true he said since i have not been using the AC , the caskets dried up and that is why my compressor started leaking

Yes, a/c compressor will fail sooner if it's rarely used.

thanks for your help, i only put less than 25 miles on the vert last year:wow::leaving:
