I find it odd how people accept at face value that something as simple as a heart or kidney can fail, but something as complex as the brain must work perfectly 100% of the time for literally everybody.

That said, a lot of talk shows recruit actors to pretend to have various illnesses/concerns/domestic issues. But that doesn't mean that they are all actors, and that doesn't mean that the disorders discussed aren't real.
