2000 TORCH RED C5 CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE (http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/4469190155.html)

My old Corvette...of course, the owner before the current one added that silly hood and spoiler on there as well as a bunch of stick on crap, but that crap could all come off....right?

Do I pull the trigger? Would be fun to have it back, I miss that car.

Thanks Tony - even with the things the guy after me did, I sold the car for that same price about 4 years ago. Best I would do is about 16,5

Plus, the NCM track is getting paved today so I have been looking for a track car anyway...Not sure this is what I really need, but would be nice to have her back.

Frankly, I think those add ons REDUCE the value. I hate it when people think they can improve on something that's just fine the way it is.

Engine mods are one thing, stickers, wings and dumb arse hoods are another

I did all of the engine work myself (along with my buddy Chris that does that as a side job) We ran a lot of miles with HP Tuners to get the trim levels right and I still have that computer and tunes on a flash drive here.

It is tempting...I have emailed the guy to see if he has the original hood still. The guy that bought it from me built that hood himself and it looks like crap in person, the lines didnt fit right and made it look silly.

How much is it going to cost to ship it to Bantayan and, once there, how many coke bottles will it be to fill it with gas. . . you can get unleaded there, right?

:rofl: Ya know - that would be a hoot. Shipping is actually not that bad for a container. From Houston I can fill a shipping container and have it delivered to Tim's for about 2k. Cap'n John looked into the cost at one point and we had talked about what all to throw in there that we would need if he was going to build his house there and we would split the cost....but that won't happen now. :sadangel:

I don't see myself moving there at this point.

The bad thing is... they charge about 50% Tax on imported cars, and they are the ones who get to say what it is worth.

So I called the guy and he wants $20k and said he wont take less...I told him good luck with the sale.

Now...to look for a '02 - '03 Torch Red Z06 I think....I think that will be the best bang for the buck.

I may be selling my '02 Torch Red convertible this year. Has 17,800 or so on it, in pretty much perfect condition. Only mods are Corsa Indy exhaust, Hurst shifter, Blackwing intake. And I have all the original parts except the stock exhaust. I just don't drive it enough to justify the garage space actually. Even has the original tires.

It's got all the nice options: Polished wheels, HUD, 12 CD changer with the Blose, Z51, whatever else was optional pretty much. Black interior and top.

That right there tells me that it rides a lot like the Flintstones vehicle...Those damn runflats get so hard that even a stone on the road causes you to bump steer.

You got any pics of this TR?

Micah (mph1972) has an '02 EB Z06 for sale over on the Corvette Forum. He's asking 16k and the car has 72k on the clock.

He said he is unable to log onto CF ATM so if you're interested I can give you his contact info.

He takes very good are of his cars. I can vouch that this would be a good deal.

Here's his write up on it at CF: FS - 2002 EB Z06 (in South Carolina) - Corvette Forum (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-corvettes-for-sale/3349272-fs-2002-eb-z06-in-south-carolina.html)

Yeah, that's all great, but what folks really want to know is, does it have body side moldings?

Yeah, those tires suck. If I don't sell it they are getting replaced this year. The back ones are scary when the road is wet, pretty bald.

Plenty of pictures, although not much recently. Still looks the same. Needs a bath right now. Haven't washed it really since about August, just quick detail (and I don't scratch the paint ever...)

That is an outstanding deal for a well maintained, lower mile C5Z.
Got the right mods and few of them. Yella Terra rockers, Comp springs and LG long tubes? That is all quality stuff that will go the distance. :yesnod:

If I was in the market for a C5Z, I would jump on that one.

:iagree: Yup, it's all quality aftermarket stuff. And as I said, Micah is pretty much a perfectionist when it comes to his cars. He takes very good care of them.

Feel free to pass along the link to anyone you know that is in the market.
