The (former) NY based companies have to hit the state of NY where it hurts the most -- in collected tax revenues :yesnod:

They don't listen to or care about the people only the money they collect :slap:

Might be why New York is advertising hard to get businesses to move there with tax exemption for 10 years.

Which for any business owner with any brains at all won't buy into. There will be a lot more of this in NY and CA in the future. ChiTown as well is over due for this.

The state of New York will never get a dime out of me. Jeff, I know you are trying to get out of there, and I know that all New Yorkers don't cater to NYC politics, but I would never keep a company there. Elitist fascists are not my cup of tea. Bloomberg, Coumo, DeBlasio.....all traitors to this country and should be dealt with accordingly.

:iagree: I just hope that the NYS voters agree in the next election too.
btw, In order to get the 10yr tax exemption, you have to locate your business in one of their designated "Empire Zones", most of which are undesirable locations. Then the paperwork and BS involved...:wtf:
Personally, I can't believe that Remington stayed in NYS.

It is sort of like my native Virginia. In the rural parts, which is actually most of the state, they are conservative like me. However, NOVA, and Richmond with so much of the population carry the state into Hell. It's a damn shame, but their chickens will come home to roost eventually. Sooner or later there will be hell to pay for .govs transgressions. Just my .02, but red blooded Americans are fed up with both party's bullshit. Just like Rome, we will come to a scorching halt. I hate it because I have young children, but a reset really needs to happen.:sadangel:

After 40 Years in NY I left in 1995 with my Business. The financial results, to me and my family, were amazing. It hurt a great deal to leave the families behind but with the money we have saved over the nearly two decades in Low Tax NH we have done well.

I"m a refugee from the nazi state of Faryland.....Monkey Co......one of the most overpaid regions in the country, The local home depot style store, used to give out my card for kitchen/bath installs I turn I pushed Hechinger's merchandize which was of better caliber than that sold today by Lowes/Despot....but like all good things it was a good run for some years, but the Hechinger family saw the writing on the wall, and shut down the stores a bit over 20 years ago, keeping all the shopping centers and malls their stores used to anchor.....all the employees got nothing.....no retirement even....

Shame the rest of the workers in that DC region can't get the same/similar treatment.....

As an oppressed subject here in the people’s republic of NY let me say that most ultra liberal politicians consider this a VICTORY getting those evil gun makers out of THEIR state. It will not bother them a bit!

Obviously as an over 40 year NRA life member I do not agree with a lot of the bullchit of our asshole politicians

I would love to move out of this hellhole but at my age and health status and considering a move to a free state is really not as simple as many say(family, paid for house on a nice lake as only a couple reasons) I will stay here and do my best to fight for mine and other people’s rights.

I think I heard that mentioned/posted in the Bethesda Chevy Chase chat group on Facebook, bunch of old BCC folks talk and show old photos we remember from being kids .....many of them in grade school as late as the 80's....

My folks quite often would stop at ODonnell's on Sunday,

but I knew Billy Thompson, Bish Thompson was his father....he was friends with Paul Fulford of the TV/Appliance chain fame.....

and the comments about the overbuilding in old Bethesda are not complimentary about making it look like lower Manhattan.....

If you on FB, maybe look up the group....:seasix:
