I met the Governor of Texas Friday

I have spent the last week at the S. H. O. T. (Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade) Show and since it cost $5.98 an hour for the internet, I obviously did not use it.

But, I had to share with Frizlefrak the most glorious sight I have seen in a long time. There was the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, wearing a LaRue Tactical Hat, shaking hands with everyone in sight.

I got to shake his hand, and I told him if he ever Seceded from the Union, I would move to Texas. That put a smile on his face.

Would you like to trade governors for the next four years? We will even throw in some slightly used moonbeams :D

I can top that.......... I shook hands with Bill Clinton and George Bush senior on the same weekend. I was living in Portland Maine at the time and Clinton was running for his second term and doing a rally in Portland. I was able to attend as one of the local businessmen representing a large company and was able to shake hands (still feel a little dirty though).

The next day was Saturday (it was Memorial Day week end) and Bush senior was doing a town hall meet and greet to promote the Republican ticket in Kennebunkport Maine where he spends the Summer and I was able to attend that as well and shook his hand. That man is MUCH bigger than he looks, it was an honor.

Thanks to my job, I get to meet a lot of politicians... some I agree with, some I hate. Sometimes it's hard to keep my conservative political views to myself, gotta be neutral when on duty.... I'm good as long as they don't ask my opinion. :D

Isn't there a statute against being Liberal in a no-stupid zone that you could write John Q. Public a citation for? An Obama sticker on the car should be enough probable cause to stop them. Then you could search their car for other liberal paraphenelia....(Food stamps, Dixie Chicks CD's, Birkenstocks, etc). Any such contraband would then be seized and destroyed once they're convicted.

Looking at the pic makes me quite melancholy. How in the fark did we go from Ronald Reagan to this socialist douchebag in 20 years? What happened to us? I can't even watch the state of the union address....i already know the state of it, and it make me want to wretch.

On a side note, my mother is a good friend of Bill Clinton's. My family has had many dealings with him and my ex-girlfriend worked with Gennifer Flowers. My family owns a commercial floor covering contracting business. When Clinton was governor we put new floors in his office and his campaign headquarters. I worked under his desk. :D Also, my ex-girlfriend is the one that got the National Enquirer Gennifer's home phone number and address. We were at Cajuns Wharf (a local restaraunt) and the enquirer gave my girlfriend $1000 to get Gennifer on the phone. The national scandal broke from a pay phone in a seafood joint's bar. :lolsmile:

I was in the mist of a heavy drug addiction at the time and needed money to fuel the old habit. My family was very displeased with me and I had to leave town for a month. We had Clinton people following us and calling us for a while after that. One guy demanded we come in and talk to them and that's when I skipped. Clinton knew some very powerful people at the time. People that don't take no for an answer lightly.
