Got the Muncie back from the shop today...

New Tailshaft
New Reverse Gear
New Second Gear
New Synchros and Sliders
New Seals, Cleaned etc.

An original Muncie M20 that is original to the '72 Vette, and the Autogear M22 that is in the '69 Camaro. No comparison between the two. The Autogear is better in every way than the original.:seasix:

Nice to have a refreshed unit on hand for when she's ready for her new gearbox. :drivingskid:
Can't beat a great trans shop. I've had mine done by Rodney at RPM. Can't beat excellent work and fast turn around time. :cert:

Small Problem.
I was out there noodling around in the garage for a few minutes. They installed hex bolts on the tailshaft...I'm going to have to remove one (upper left driver side) in order to install one of the reverse lockout bracket thingys. I'll need to find a washer that seals up good to the tailshaft housing...shouldn't be a big deal.
But thank you to all for all of the good thoughts on the thread, can't wait to get this car back in action! I need to be able to move it in and out of the garage so I can do other stuff in there!
