Yup - big Joe Walsh fan ... he is so unique. We had seen him with the Eagles back in the day ... wife said if we get a chance to see him solo we gotta - several years ago saw him in a great outdoor concert. He is one entertaining guy.

I wonder if that's the guitar that Walsh gave Jimmy Page.

That guitar sounded so Zeppelin in that 1975 video.
I wonder if Walsh was an influence to Page rather than visa versa...

I knew it as soon as I had seen that you posted..
You have been to so many concerts over the years.. wouldn't it be easier to list bands that you have not seen?
I wish now I had gone to a lot more, back in the days when my buddys all wanted to go to concerts, it was rare I could afford a ticket.
Never stopped my buddy Vince though.. he would just run through the gate and get lost in the crown before they could find him, he called it crashing the gate... :datawiz:

Plug a Les Paul into a good tube amp and you'll be close right away.
Hard to say. Page had been doing studio work before the Yardbirds hit.
He played on Van Morrison and Them’s “Gloria,” and The Who’s “I Can’t Explain” for a couple example.

I'm telling you man.
You gotta see the entire show.
It's absolutely a must see.. It's great.
Just looking past the band at all of the old gear is worth the price of admission.
JW was candid and very informative as well.

Admission is free as long as you get Palladia. :Jeff '79:
I wasn't griping per se' about the POA. Just thinking out loud, and as Snake explained the goal, it might be a doable price of admission.
We are not used to having to pay covers around these parts.

We are not used to having to pay covers around these parts. We've had cover charges around here for 25+ years. Typically it was pretty inexpensive. $3.00 or so.

Well ya, same here. I don't consider that a cover because it's so low, but $10 for two hours is not something that I'm going to , just to see a bunch of local hacks.
The networking spin at a downtown venue might work for the attorney / professional crowd though. That is what Snake is aiming for.

OK obviously the rhum is starting to kick in here..
I dont know what a Palladia is, but it sounds like a reptile.. I'd rather just pay cash than have to carry one of those around in my pocket.
POA?? what the heck to you need a Power of Attorney for? :island14:
I think maybe now is a good time for me to go find some tanduay soldiers to help me finish this bottle, and none of them speak much engrish so I can just relax.. :D

The poster says 5-8. That's three hours. ??
I know (now retired) a police officer and firefighter (brothers) who went to junior high school w/Joe Walsh when he lived in Columbus.
They've remained lifetime friends and every time the Eagles play in Columbus, they get "backstage/VIP" passes from him.

Joe Walsh - Turn to Stone (2nd May 1975) - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAQy1XtFcSM)
There's a different video of Turn to Stone I LOVED to watch, unfortunately, can't find it now.
It was from Don Kirchner's Rock Concert TV series, and this version featured Joe Vitale playing a flute solo with Walsh accompanying, (Vitale also played some Rhodes licks too, seriously multi-talented musician!). Had some of the best guitar work I can recall.
Second favorite video of this song had about a 10 min dual solo with Don Felder sitting in (I believe this was Joe's pre-Eagles stage), was awesome!
