Volume I, II, or III? I remember that the books finally de-bunked the myth that Churchill had a drinking problem, at least in a way. While at times he drank to excess, they were rare and never on the job. I really admire Mr. Churchill for his leadership of England during WWII. It couldn't have been easy to keep up the hopes of a Nation that took such punishment and for so long. He also had a remarkably accurate assessment of the direction Europe was headed in the 1930's.

He was a totally political animal, nothing mattered more to him than politics. Yes you can see his genius and foresight in his conception of the Turkish campaign and the subsiquint mishandling of the Dardanalies during WW1 while he was 1st lord.

Strange little fellow, walking around naked all the time scaring the staff. :willy:
His habit of taking many baths during the day was also strange, and while he didn't drink to excess, he drank all day and night most of the time. One of the best speech makers of our time, and quick with a sharp tongue edged with great wit. :yesnod:
