The unbelievable story of a secret Corvette with only 3,000 miles (http://roadtrippers.kinja.com/the-unbelievable-story-of-a-secret-corvette-with-only-3-1547964286/@pgeorge)

Such a beautiful and classy color combo too.

It won't sell. Just like Bunkie Knudson's Vette hasn't sold. We'll be seeing the 3,000 mile '67 at Mecum for years, like Cliff and Norm, always hangin' around.

I thought GM axed the side pipes for model year 1967 :island14:

Beautiful car but it is a shame it wasn't enjoyed more. If I want to look at cars, I'll build models. I just don't understand the idea behind not driving :drivingskid:

Holy shit. That's a damn nice car...but I never want to own a car that nice. I'd shit myself if I ever drove it.

I agree

It would have been cool as crap to own in 1967, or even in the '70's when it was a 5 thousand dollar car.

Now it's destiny is another "behind the ropes" million dollar museum piece.

No thanks.

I've driven my dads 65 maybe three times.. Two of which IIRC he was drunk..

Too much responsibility and the brakes sucked (drums). No thanks.

Yeah, no knock-offs, falsies that bolted on.

1967 is the best of the mid-years. Too bad GM had to rush the '68/'69 into production as the first sharks sucked, a lot. The mid-years could have easily gone another couple of years. IMO

Don't seem to recall Offenhauser valve covers w/ BATMAN retainers, nor chrome? alternators. Silly sh*t attached to air cleaner? Hmmm...

Doubt it'llever sell. I can't see myself being interested at all.

Those Offenhauser valve covers are NOT stock for sure.

Thought '65 was first year for 4 wheel disc, and vettes never had any disc/drum combo.....

Love the Stinger hood scoop, too. Mark IV 427 BB like a mofo!

A 65 'Stang or a StingRay? By then, the Vette had standard four wheel disc brakes, right? :confused5:

There are some early build '65 that have drums. It was a credit to those who wanted to drop the sticker until supplies were exhausted.

Nope. '64 through '67.

mid 1965 - '67. St. Louis built cars only. :seasix:

I imagine, R. Hendrick, will buy this car. Maybe not at the auction, but a deal on the side, later on.

My dream Vette when I stop racing and am satisfied cruising is a 67 427, red w/black stinger hood. ...and of course the side pipes.

This:

I would also "settle" for this color combo:

Of course according to the interwebs, there were only 5 COPO '67s made in that combo so... :(

I have a model kit of a coupe in that combo. This one was at the Rod Run, last year. I doubt it was factory. You can check the trim tag for the factory combo. It has been reported some dealers ordered the cars in primer only and painted them at the dealership.

If I could buy it, I'd drive it every day. Who cares about diminishing it's value if you could afford the purchase price!
