A US Airways plane aborted its takeoff after its nose gear reportedly collapsed while leaving Philadelphia International Airport Thursday.
US Airways Flight 1702 was headed to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., when the incident happened about 6:25 p.m., said FAA spokesman Jim Peters.
While US Airways initially reported that the pilot aborted take off because of a blown tire, preliminary information from FAA shows that the nose gear collapsed.
The 149 passengers and crew members were forced to evacuate the plane, said airport spokeswoman Victoria Lupica. One female passenger suffered a minor injury while another had a minor illness, said a fire official.

The airport remained open, said Lupica, although a ground stop – which affects flights that haven’t departed for the airport – is in place. No flights were diverted.
The NTSB is investigating.
US Airways re-booked passengers on another plane. One of those passengers, Hannah Udren, took a selfie after getting off the plane.
