When I remodeled my house in the early 1990s, I divided the much too large living room into two rooms separated by a half-wall with shutters on top and a pair of pocket doors in the middle. I installed heating and air conditioning units for both rooms. Turns out one unit keeps both rooms comfortable enough.
The unit that I keep running is fairly noisy, so it's obvious when it's on. But when I'm in the other room, I hear a faint noise of that room's unit running. WTF?
A shower in one bathroom decides to emit a drip of water from the shower head on occasion. Not a leak, since this happens only on occasion. But sometimes when I'm in that bath room, I hear water leaking for a few seconds...and there's no water coming from the shower head.
99% of the time when I take a shower the water temp is perfect. On rare occasions, the temp drops to freezing and doesn't react to the temp adjustment lever. When I got out one morning, I pulled out a hair to pee and peed down my leg. I made that up, but the rest really happens.
I don't want to stop drinking, so I've decided to just live with it all. No ghosts at all have appeared.
