In the 80s he won the Guitar Player Magazine reader's poll as world's best guitarist so many times, five years in a row, they had to make him ineligible.

Honestly, I never cared a lot for his music. But there's no denying the guys talent. The Dixie Dregs fusion was a lot different than Di Miola's fusion. Di Miola had the Latin twist to his music. I like that.

Speaking of Latin type music, I don't think Santana has done anything worthwhile since Abraxis. :leaving:

I always thought od Morse and the Dixie Dregs as a sort of country/rock fusion. I've seen the Dregs and Morse solo live in small venues (1,000 seat bars) and they both delivered incredible shows. I've seen Return to Forever with Di Miola and that was a great show also,
