Toward the end of 1970, having gone to Texas with an old HS buddy, back out of the Navy, fellow electronic geek, the gal I was with didn't work out, and a job didn't either.....so I hung out for a couple weeks realized it was one way or another so flipped a coin.....one was California, the other was back to DC.....

DC won, for what ever it was worth.....some time you just dunno....
