Recovery sucks.
I'm sleeping a hell of a lot, more than 12 hours per day, but I feel like I could be sleeping even more. Feel kind of foggy pretty much all the time.
Mostly my short term memory has returned. For a while if I knew anyone less than three or four months I wouldn't remember you at all, although you would look really familiar. I'd still ask you six times in the same conversation who you were, though.
Not supposed to do much mental activity, so I'm stuck with you guys. :)
Anyone else had to recover from a concussion?

Should be just fine then
My last concussion was from scope eye. I was so focused on out-shooting my brother that I didn't plant the stock enough.
30-06 with a very high grain count (forget #)
I was nauseous, exhausted and foggy for a good 3-4 days.
Glad you're taking it easy. You took some serious pavement to the face.
Be sure and look up an excellent chiropractor when you've healed a bit more. Your neck
must be pretty out of whack.

Same here. The nausea was the worst part... I hope you're back to "normal" soon. :barnbabe:

It was freaky being able to remember my name, but not my age when they ask after I woke up! Never regained memory of the crash.
I slept a lot but had no nausea.
Hang in there Clark!

My wifes Grandfather, didn't keep to the bed rest after a concussion, as a result he fell and hit his head again causing a significant amount of damage.

Sounds like a bunch of touchy feely bullshit. Get back on the minibike and do a sweet jump.

My son wrecked his motorcycle in the back of the pasture when he was 18. He had a concussion. This was our conversation at the hospital:
Son: Where are we?
Me: At the hospital.
Son: Why?
Me: Because you wrecked your motocycle.
Son: But I don't have a motocycle.
Me: Not anymore. You wrecked it
Son: Ok.
Five minutes later...exact conversation.
Five minutes after that...same exact conversation. The doctor heard it several times and he started laughing.
Every 5-10 minutes we had this conversation for two days.

OP, are you having any other problems with your memory other than people recognition? Problems that you remember, anyway....

Has your incessant urge to drink large amounts of alcohol subsided or didn't this teach you a lesson? :leaving:

New information is also spotty. I'm having to write a lot of things down.
The day or so after it happened, I'd get a text, respond, get another response and have to read back through the texts (including my own) to see why they were texting me.
That has largely gotten better but new info I'm still having issues with.

Hmmm.... Oh :sadangel:
Well, I hope your noggin recovers quickly.
I had a tree fall on my head and it took a good two weeks to feel somewhat normal. I actually missed a few days of work because I didn't know which way was up, and I never miss work.
Be patient.... You'll get back.:cert:

Yesterday was pretty rough. I slept for around 16 hours or more.
Today I have felt more like my old self than i have since the accident. The foggy-minded feeling is gone finally.
