My wife Mary works at the local hospital and we just got our new insurance cards. The health care company remained the same but some of the coverages were changed. ( the hospital requires more testing be done in house instead of farmed out. )
Since the update, she hadn't renewed her preventative cancer medicine until now. We got a call from the pharmacy asking if we had a new insurance card for them to put on file.
I'm glad we do

I'd much rather pay the $10 co pay than the $422.45 full price. :willy:
Mary is doing fine and all her latest results have come back good.
I would retun that bag. somebody spilled something white all over it.

I'm so glad she is doing well. Is that similar to tamoxifin?

:yesnod: Tamoxifin gave her some undesirable side effects ( numbness in her hands at night )so her DR changed her to this. So far so good :yesnod:

My mom has had to take meds for her ulcerative Colitis for a while now...the pill is 2X daily, and its like 10.00 per pill, or about 600/mo....insurance wont cover it, well it will ,but it would suck down her available coverage in just a couple months, so not worth using....it sucks.

Age 69 here, pushing 70, been on Florida Medicaid for almost 5 years, before that, the Walmart 4 bux/month script was matched by local food store pharmacy and we get better service and it's much closer to boot.....
SO, we paid 4 bux/month....woopie doo, no evidence of anyone else paying jack diddly, because we had NO INSURANCE OF ANY KIND, Wife still has nothing, age 62 so 3 years of fines before she picks up Medicaid.....
NOW that I am on Medicaid I note that Humana the administrative pay out group, is shelling out some 1700 bux last year for all the scrips that I used to pay 4 bux/month....sometimes they charge like 2.70 for a months' supply and that's all I pay, while the insurance gets hit for 400 bux......makes NO SENSE to me what so ever.....the .gov is getting shafter 400 bux for Doxycycline Hyc 100 mg :issues::issues:

If we did not have insurance well my wife would be not in a good place when she had Breast Cancer, we would not be able to afford it,
very sad, indeed
