That was my exact thought when I read the article yesterday. To the lesbian couple's credit, it appears they didn't instigate this. It was that one or both of them claimed some state assistance and tried to lie and say they didn't know who the father was. They were trying to protect this dude. And the state was having none of that. It's complete crap, by typical for the types of things our government regularly does to us subjects.

If only he were an illegal alien or some other member of a victim class, he'd be just fine. Because, you know, there are no instances of a single woman claiming welfare and the father just getting away scott free.

Well, let's look at what liability the guy has. What if he had sold the lez couple a fifth of booze and they drank it, drove, and then ran over a family of 6.

Was he supposed to foresee that a couple of flour tortillas he met on Craigslist would later file for welfare based on his "donation?" Sperm donors get a pass if a doctor did the basting? This sounds like unequal treatment under the law. Pay your dues to the medical lobby, get a pass. Do it yourself, get taxed.
